We almost witnessed the “Ousseynou Diop case” recently sentenced to 15 years in prison after killing a taxi driver in cold blood in 2016. According to our colleagues rewmi, an individual in a white car shot the windshield rear of a taximan and seriously injured him.
The victim is reportedly currently in a coma and the perpetrator of the assault with a weapon is in the hands of the police for a hearing.
The collective of taxi drivers made their voices heard after this incident which almost cost the life of one of their own. “We only do our job and do not take any weapons on board (…) what would happen if every time there is a scramble we are shot?”
