Fiona Harvey, who claims to be the target of the stalker in Netflix Reindeer based, she told her story in a conversation with the British talk show host Piers Morgan. According to her, she had no choice as she was attacked online and on the phone after the series was launched. “I’ve had several death threats. It’s been horrible.”

Reindeer tells the story of comedian and director Richard Gadd (33) who faces stalking. According to Netflix, the series is based on true stories and messages that the streaming service has as evidence. What is special is that the stalker Gadd himself plays the main role and thus brings back his own traumas.

The stalker in the series is called Martha and is played by an actress. But the ‘real’ stalker, Harvey, has spoken out now that the series has been launched. She denies ever hunting Gadd.

Harvey, 58, has not seen a single episode, she says in the recorded conversation with Morgan that was broadcast on Thursday night. “I heard all kinds of things that weren’t true. I only met him two or three times.” According to Harvey, the main character created the series on purpose to criticize her. “That’s what he always wanted. This is disgusting. I think he has serious mental problems.”

‘Reverse Reverse’

She says the story is that Harvey was an obsessive stalker who turned Gadd’s life upside down. She says the bartender was particularly rude to her.

In the interview, the woman goes through several scenes with Piers Morgan, leaving most of them as fiction. For example, Gadd would never have been at her home in real life and neither would she have been. Harvey also would not have sent tens of thousands of emails and thousands of text messages.

“That’s not true. I don’t think I ever sent him anything. Maybe just funny emails. That’s all.” Morgan wonders where the makers of the series are getting the unsustainable numbers. “Gadd came up with that himself,” Harvey replied. She says she has no previous convictions for stalking and would not have physically assaulted Gadd’s partner. “I’m not a stalker. It’s all made up.”

Harvey says he was never contacted by Gadd or Netflix and wants to take legal action. “I would like to see the evidence from Netflix. I am 100 percent sure that I am not Martha and that she is a fictional character.”
