After two years, national team meritorious left back Pierre Neurath Bengtsson, 35, is leaving Djurgårdens IF. During the past season, he got little playing time, and before next season the parties part ways.
Bengtsson remembers back to a good time at the club.
– There have been many fantastic experiences at Tele2 with our supporters, especially during a long period in 2022 where we conceded very few goals and had a long streak where we were undefeated. It was also fun to be part of and contribute to the historic European success that ended last spring, says the player on the club’s website and continues:
– The saddest thing has been that I have suffered a couple of unfortunate injuries and not always been able to be 100 percent available for games.

– I will miss the socializing at Kaknäs, even though I have and will continue to have contact with several.
Neurath Bengtsson played a total of 21 Allsvenskan matches with Djurgården.
The 35-year-old previously has a background with games in FC Copenhagen, Vejle BK, Mainz, Bastia, Nordsjælland and AIK.
