On Sunday October 13, in the afternoon, the emotion was easily perceptible when Pierre Lemarchal, as soon as he arrived on the stage of the Faverolles village hall where he has been performing for ten years now, immediately announced that he was stopping his tours and that this concert here would be his very last.

The father of Grégory Lemarchal, also president and co-founder in 2007 of the eponymous association whose objective is to learn to live with cystic fibrosis, the genetic disease which took his son, winner of the Star Academy, almost aged 24 on April 30, 2007, explained to his fans: “ We decided to put an end to our concerts which began eighteen years ago; we will therefore no longer see you in these circumstances, for many reasons, starting with the Maison Grégory Lemarchal for the reception of patients suffering from the disease, which we opened in Rueil-Malmaison (Editor’s note Hauts-de-Seine) in 2022 and which takes up a lot of space. It’s not without a pang in my heart, but I have to make choices ».
Before continuing, in a more humorous tone: “ And then, it’s time for me to stop because my voice is also tired, which is normal because at some point, old people have to learn to withdraw ».
Lending himself to taking a selfie in the middle of a concert with Patricia, one of his many admirers, “ something that has never happened to me in 18 years », Pierre Lemarchal once again gave, for 1 hour 45 minutes, the best of himself, empathy and warmth, to the 190 spectators sparkling with happiness at seeing and listening to him with, at his side, Évelyne and Marc Prévot, his two early musicians.
The singer finally wanted to send heartfelt thanks to Fanny Comandé and all the volunteers of the association in the Somme without whom moments like this could never have been experienced.
The accordion: an instrument which contains the word accorded can only go well with tours which, for 18 years, have been nourished by all that is best in French song.
Without Évelyne and Marc Prévot, the singer’s traveling companions, always present and not without humor, Pierre Lemarchal’s concerts would not have had the same flavor.
