Halle Berry thanks Pierce Brosnan for “restored her faith in men”. The 58-year-old actress worked with the 71-year-old film star in the 2002 James Bond classic Don’t Die Today, and 22 years later she recalled that he was a true “gentleman”.
“He will always be my Bond, always. I’m a Pierce Brosnan fan. He restored my faith in men in this movie. There can’t be a person who is a bigger gentleman than Pierce Brosnan,” the actress told Wired.
Berry is “flattered” to have landed the role of Bond girl and NSA agent Jinx, which has allowed her to become part of “cinema history”.
“Bond wasn’t on my wish list, no, not to be in one, but I loved movies, always. Having been in one, I feel like a part of cinema history… These films are iconic. They will always be a part of our history and I’m really flattered to be a part of one, especially with Pierce,” Berry stated.
She previously revealed how Piers even saved her life on set when she started choking on a fig during a scene that was supposed to be ‘sexy’.
“I was supposed to be sexy trying to seduce him with a fig and I ended up choking on it and he had to save me. That wasn’t so sexy. James Bond knows how to administer first aid! He was there for me and will always be one of my favorite people in the entire world,” Berry shared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in 2020.
