At least twenty people lost their lives, including nine children, during the fire of an apartment building in the Bronx, New York.

The mayor of New York clarified, speaking to the media at the scene of the disaster, that the authorities now count more than sixty injured.

“This is going to be one of the worst fires in our history. We know that we have 19 people dead as well as several others in critical condition and more than 63 people injured,” lamented Eric Adams, after visiting the scene of the fire.
