Pictures of the “collapse of a high-rise building” in Mecca .. What really happened?

Social media users shared an image whose publishers claimed to be of a tweet from 2014 that successfully predicted the names of the winning clubs in the UEFA Champions League between 2015 and 2022.

However, the image is actually composite.

The post also includes a picture of what appears to be the tweet, which included predictions of the names of the clubs that will win the UEFA Champions League until 2025.

The tweet predicted that Napoli would win the championship this season, Arsenal in 2024 and Manchester United in 2025.

The tweet mentioned the names of the clubs that had already won the most famous European championship until last year’s edition, starting with Barcelona in 2015, and its traditional rivals Real Madrid for three consecutive years until 2018, then Liverpool in 2019 and Bayern Munich in 2020, followed by Chelsea in 2021. Then Real Madrid in 2022.

The comment accompanying it read, “Tweeter predicted the winners of the European Champions League in 2014, and so far all his predictions are correct.”

Image of the rolling post

The publication received hundreds of posts from several pages on social media, two weeks before the return of the Champions League after a long vacation in February.

However, the circulating image is composite. On the alleged date of publishing the tweet, i.e. 2014, the maximum number of symbols (including letters, numbers and spaces) allowed in each tweet was 140, while the circulating tweet contained 236 symbols.

Also, the account shown in the image has no trace on Twitter, and searching for it leads to several tweets indicating that it does not exist, and one of them stated, “If you are here to search for the Sandrofootball account, stop searching, it does not exist.”
