The device is called Osom OV1 and consists of stainless steel, titanium, ceramic and Gorilla Glass Victus – materials that are all considered premium. Osom has also confirmed that the phone is powered by a system circuit in the “Snapdragon 8 series”. Hopefully this is a variant of Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
Other specifications that have been announced are OLED technology for the screen, 5G, UWB, NFC, dual SIM slots, as well as cameras with the resolutions 48MP, 12MP (back) and 16MP (front). A specialty of the Osom OV1 is a secure USB-C cable.
The cable has a physical slider to turn off the possibility of data transfer and only allow charging. The purpose is to guarantee safe charging via public charging sockets, which, however, still usually do not use USB-C. The cable is slow at only 60MB / s but a standard cable can be used to get USB 3.2 Gen 1 speeds.
The phone will be released sometime during the second half of the year Do you think Osom can get a competent top model?
