It was around 6 p.m. when the hailstorm hit the Charolais-Brionnais, coming from the south. It was therefore the municipalities of Digoin and Paray-le-Monial that were hit first, and hard.

Several cars had their windows and windshields shattered by the violence of the falling hailstones. Trees and branches fell on the roadways.

There are no casualties according to the firefighters of Saône-et-Loire, who ask residents to call Center 18 only in case of urgent need, so as not to clog the call center.

A hundred firefighters were mobilized at 8 p.m., in an area that goes from Charolles to Digoin, via Paray. There were then 114 interventions in Paray, 90 in Digoin and 25 in Charolles. The music festival had to be canceled in Paray.
The Saône-et-Loire remains placed in orange vigilance until Wednesday, 6 am.
