The “Musik im Garten” series of events, which was launched in 2020, will take place from Friday, August 5th to Sunday, August 7th in the garden of the Kunsthaus. Visitors can expect three live concerts in a relaxed atmosphere: Instead of chairs, you can sit on picnic blankets. Admission is free.
The programme: from rock to mouth organ
The kick-off on Friday, August 5th at 7 p.m. will be made by the C3ntral house band. Stefan Kahne and Martin Greule play cover songs – from pop, rock, soul, techno to dance. The special feature: not only the selection of the songs varies at each concert, but also the cast. With constantly new musicians and special guests, they manage to make every performance an unforgettable and, above all, unique event.
It continues on Saturday, August 6th at 7 p.m Delta Rock. The band stands for handmade rock music from the Rhine-Neckar Delta: powerful, authentic and virtuosic. The eight professional musicians have rock classics from the 70s, 80s and 90s with them. The program ranges from AC/DC and Deep Purple to Fleetwood Mac and Journey to Guns N’ Roses and Van Halen. Delta Rock deliberately presents sophisticated titles that are rarely heard live. Delta Rock has been the official house band of Radio Regenbogen 2 since February 2021.
The series concludes on Sunday, August 7 at 11 a.m. with the Mundorgel reloaded. Roman Winter and Marc Pointner take the visitors back to the days of boy scouts, class trips or confirmation camps, where in the evenings one sat comfortably around the campfire and someone unpacked the guitar and the little red booklet. The program includes songs such as “The monkeys race through the forest”, “Bolle recently traveled at Whitsun”, “My grandmother drives a motorbike in the chicken coop” and “We lay before Madagascar” – singing along is expressly desired!

Actually, the popular ruin concerts in the Erkenberruine would have taken place from August 5th to 7th. Due to the cancellation of the open-air cinema, the concerts were moved back to the Kunsthaus garden.
