Pickford may be three-match banned for injuring van Dijk

Everton goalkeeper applied serious injury defender of Liverpool in the match of the 5th round APL.

Match referee Michael Oliver did not punish the goalkeeper because the Dutch defender was offside in the collision.

The FA may reportedly still disqualify Pickford. FA rules prohibit decisions missed by the match referee during the game. The Association will be awaiting Michael Oliver’s match report to make a final decision on this episode.

It is noted that Pickford may receive a three-match suspension if the chief arbiter of the meeting marks the episode.
