Interviewed by Corriere dello Sport on the occasion of the challenge of Italian Cup between Fiorentina e JuventusChristopher Friday launched the challenge to the bianconeri and to his former teammate Dusan Vlahovic.
Here are his statements:
ON PENALTIES – “Will I play him against Juve? I am ready and I always want to do well. Yes, it’s true, I’ve got the last ones wrong, this is part of the game, but I’m here. I am working carefully. Besides, I’m ready for anything. I am a striker, so the goal is my fuel, but above all I want to help the team because we are a compact group. SU VLAHOVIC – “I trained with him maybe three weeks. He is unquestionably a great striker, he proved it by scoring many goals here and also doing very well at Juventus. I heir to him? Pressure is part of our world, it’s always there and we forwards have a lot of pressure, because our goals are essential to help the team. But I want to show what I’m worth not only in the area but also outside by making myself available to the team. I don’t feel pressure at all, if anything the urge to do well“.
ON THE DEFENSE OF JUVE – “I know De Ligt and Bonucci well, they are both great professionals, but we are ready too and we want to show it on the pitch. Szczesny? He is a very strong goalkeeper but I know where to hit him and how to score him“.
