Jakarta

Li Yundi is a pianist from China who has had a flashy career since childhood. He was threatened with elimination by the government after being arrested for prostitution.

Li Yundi was arrested after hiring sex workers at his home. The news was blown by the Chaoyang Police.

They talked on Weibo, about the arrest of a couple involved in prostitution. According to the report, a 29-year-old woman and a 39-year-old man were arrested. The couple also admitted to having committed an offence.

Initially, the arrest was considered normal. But the police later uploaded a photo of the piano keys in further information.

“The world is more than black and white, but we have to differentiate,” the post reads.

The rumors were later confirmed when Chinese media publicly announced that pianist Li Yundi was arrested.

Chaoyang police later explained that Li Yundi met with the sex worker at a pre -determined time. They were then stalked until finally arrested.

The police also found records of money transfers in their WeChat accounts. Many netizens expressed disappointment and anger over the pianist’s behavior.

Li Yundi has been loved by his fans since the 2000s. He won the international Frederic Chopin piano competition at the age of 18.

But now, of course, his position is threatened. The pianist was systematically excluded from the entertainment world, including his appearance on the variety show Call Me By Fire.

After the news spread, the Chinese Musicians Association said it would revoke Li’s membership due to the extremely negative social impact.

Some observers say his detention could be seen as a warning to other unscrupulous celebrities as China steps up its crackdown on the entertainment industry.

The Chinese government will not tolerate such behavior from their artists. The scandals condemned by the government have also hit a number of artists such as Jet Li, Vicky Zhao and Kris Wu.
