P&I is no longer waiting for the Technology Park

P&I, a leading German Technology Company led by CEO Mr. Triadis Vassiliou, announces a major investment aimed at strengthening its presence in Ioannina. The Company purchased and will renovate a 4,000 sq.m. building for the creation of its new privately owned offices.

The investment exceeds 5 million euros, representing a significant amount of investment that will boost the local economy. In addition, P&I will cooperate with local technical company and local workshops for the renovation, thus creating a very significant impact on the development of the local economy and local employment.

The Company currently employs 165 people at its Innovation Center in Ioannina and this investment will create even more jobs in the region.

Mr. Vassilis Triadis, CEO of P&I, said: “With this investment, we confirm our commitment to the development and upgrading of our presence in Ioannina. Our new offices will act as a center for innovation and development and we are very happy to be working with the local community and local businesses.”

P&I is expected to begin work and renovate the building immediately, with the goal of completing the project within the next year.

Of course, this development cannot be linked to the delays concerning the Technology Park that the Region of Epirus is preparing and which is still in search of resources.

The delays that have occurred in this particular project, combined with its dubious financing, may force other companies to turn to solutions like the one P&I found, since at the moment no one can tell them with certainty when or if it will be the Park is ready.

Of course, another question arises which has to do with whether the construction of such a Park – worth several million euros – will make sense, in the event that it is delayed and by then other high-tech companies have already found other places to housing.
