A 53-year-old man from Klazienaveen was arrested at the beginning of November on suspicion of assaulting at least six women, prosecutors said. RTV Drenthe confirmed. The regional broadcaster was tipped off about the abuse.
The man works as a physiotherapist and has his own practice in Klazienaveen. In that position, he would have committed the criminal offenses over a longer period of time.
Last Tuesday, the Public Prosecution Service decided to extend the man’s pre-trial detention by 60 days for further investigation. The Public Prosecution Service does not rule out the possibility of more reports coming in. As far as is known, there are no minors among the victims, a spokesperson said.
