Even after weeks of negotiations, the Bavarian panel doctors have not yet been able to agree on reimbursement for the corona vaccinations. As the Bavarian Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (KVB) announced on Wednesday, the previous Corona Vaccination Ordinance with “reasonable fee rates” for doctors ends on April 7th. Then the responsibility goes from the federal government to the cash registers. Without an agreement, the patients would have to pay for the vaccination themselves and then submit the bill to their insurance company.
Doctors currently get 28 euros for the vaccination. “We wanted to raise the vaccination fees moderately overall and adjust them to the general cost increases,” said the KVB board. “Nobody can expect that the colleagues in the practices are willing to sell themselves for their demanding work in vaccination education, the implementation of the vaccination and the subsequent consideration of possible vaccination effects.”
