The 115th Bremen Rowing Regatta started on Saturday. More than 1500 boats can be seen on the Werdersee until Sunday evening at the Big Bremer Regatta of the Bremer Sport-Club (BSC). We show photos of the event.
The rowers come from all over Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands. The race for junior B-eights is new to the programme. For some time now, a team has been training with girls from Bremer SC and Vegesack RV to compete together. The weekend is the premiere for them, and they want to start in Duisburg and Cologne in the summer. Traditionally, the senior A eight, the so-called Senate eight, on Sunday at 4.30 p.m. is the highlight and at the same time the conclusion of the largest regatta in northern Germany.
