Takeaway.com, part of Just Eat Takeaway.com, a world leader in the food delivery market, has announced the winners of the platform’s Best Restaurant Awards for 2022. The awards are returning to Bulgaria for their third consecutive edition and are evaluating the restaurants of the territory of the country, stood out with their commitment and dedication, and became favorites of Bulgarian consumers in the past year.
The awards recognized the best restaurants in 14 different categories. This year, all the winners were determined by the vote of consumers, who had the opportunity to vote for more than 2,500 restaurants in nearly 70 cities in the country. The voting period ran from November 14 to December 31, 2022.

The selection of award-winning restaurants is varied and comprehensive. From pizza and burgers to sushi and gourmet, the award-winning restaurants are grouped by favorite national cuisine and type of food, favorite city restaurant in the main five cities in Bulgaria, as well as several special categories. From pizzerias to burger joints, Takeaway.com has awarded the best restaurants in the country according to various criteria, such as type of cuisine and geographic area.
In Plovdiv, the award for the best restaurant was awarded to Gastro Bar Aylyakria.
The restaurant is located in the cozy atmosphere of Kapana, in an authentic 100-year-old building. As you can guess from its name – Aylyakria is a place inspired by the typical Plovdiv word “ayljak”, which means bliss and delight.
