On Wednesday, an intense snowfall covered with snow several areas of Jordan, Israel, Lebanon, Syria and Turkey: in some of these, snow had not been seen for years and it came rather unexpectedly, along with the drop in temperatures. Bad weather caused traffic and some roads to be blocked, coronavirus vaccination campaigns slowed down and some schools and universities suspended classes and exams. In some cities, especially in Lebanon, snow has caused power outages. Among the photos of the snowy landscapes of yesterday and today, those of the most beautiful cities of the Middle East, such as Jerusalem and Istanbul, stand out in particular.
