The Time newspaper of Colombia published this Wednesday that the photos that the prosecutor’s wife, journalist Claudia Aguilera, uploaded to her social networks were key to Colombian federal agents and investigators.

From this, they reconstructed step by step the five days of the journey that Marcelo Pecci made, assassinated in Colombian territory by assassins two days ago.
The publication indicates that the photos served, especially, to recover images from closed circuit cameras of the places the couple visited and thereby identify the people who were following them.

The investigative unit of the Colombian media established that interviews were even conducted with foreigners who came on the same flight as Pecci and with guests of the two hotels where they stayed, in Cartagena Royal and Decameron Playa Blanca.
It also points out that testimonies were collected from residents of the beach and from the men who rented the jet skis on which the gunmen moved.
The same newspaper also anticipated on Wednesday in an exclusive note that one of the first hypotheses that was handled after the death of the prosecutor against organized crime, anti-drugs and anti-terrorism points to an international terrorist organization.

Commissioner Nimio Cardozo, head of the National Police’s Anti-kidnapping Department, was consulted on the matter the day before and stated that it is one of the lines of investigation.
The experts in charge of the case also do not rule out that the murder of the Paraguayan prosecutor is related to Operation A Ultranza PY, in which there was a blow of more than USD 100 million to organized crime.
The specific clues they have handled so far indicate that one of the assassins had a Caribbean accent and that Marcelo Pecci was possibly being followed from Paraguay.

On Wednesday, the identikit of one of those who would have attacked and caused the death of the Public Ministry agent was released.
The day before, the first closed circuit images were also released, where the alleged assassins are observed.
The Colombian government offered up to 2,000 million Colombian pesos (more than G. 3,300 million or USD 489,391) to those who provide any information that allows the hitmen to be found.
