Almost four months have passed since Jorge Lanata He was admitted to the Italian Hospital after suffering decompensation while undergoing a routine study and almost a month since he was transferred to the Santa Catalina rehabilitation clinic, in the San Cristóbal neighborhood. There, the renowned journalist receives the visit and permanent care of his closest core, who is attentive and takes turns so that he is not alone. This is what happened last Saturday, when his wife, the lawyer, visited him. Elba Marcovecchio (they married in April 2022), their daughters, Bárbara and Lola, and their former partners (and mothers of their daughters), the journalist Andrea Rodríguez and the plastic artist Sara Stewart Brown. Elba (who has no dialogue with the rest of the parties) arrived at the rehabilitation center on Catamarca Street, in his car and wearing a cap.
Elba visited her husband at 12 noon on Saturday the 28th.

The visit occurred after a very tense week between Elba and Jorge’s daughters, who made a court presentation asking to have interference in the medical decisions made in relation to their father’s recovery and assets. In the document, they also accused Marcovecchio of taking some belongings from Lanata’s apartment and presented some videos as evidence. Guadalupe Guerrero, Marcovechhio’s lawyer, denied the accusations. On the other hand, the National Civil Court No. 8 lifted the legal muzzle that had been established to prohibit the dissemination of any information involving Lanata. Civil judge Lucila Córdoba assured that she spoke with the journalist and asked him about his wishes “in terms of providing information regarding his health and family circumstances.” According to the letter, the PPT host’s response was: “You can always come out and respond.”
