(CNN) — Following the complaint filed by Fabiola Yánez, Alberto Fernández’s ex-partner, to the courts against the former president of Argentina, two photographs were released, which were first published by the Argentine media outlet Infobae and which CNN does not know how they were obtained, in which the former first lady can be seen with bruises in the area of her eye and in the right armpit of her arm. These images are part of the case in which Yáñez accuses Fernández of “physical and mental violence,” a source close to the case told CNN.
The same source confirmed that Yáñez provided a chat conversation he had with the then president to the courts.
“This is not how it works, you hit me all the time. It’s unbelievable. I can’t let you do this to me when I didn’t do anything to you. And all I’m trying to do with my mind focused is defend you and you hit me physically. There’s no explanation,” can be read in the screenshots provided by the former first lady of Argentina after the complaint.

CNN has reached out to Fernandez for comment on the images and text messages but has not yet received a response.
The images are part of the court file of Yañez’s complaint against Alberto Fernández.
After the accusation against him was made public, the former president published a statement on his X account, in which he states: “The truth of the facts is different. I will only say that it is false and that what I am now accused of never happened. For the integrity of my children, myself, and also Fabiola herself, I will not make media statements, but I will present to the Justice the evidence and testimonies that will show what really happened.”
CNN has reached out to Mariana Gallego, who is legally representing Yanez, who has declined to comment publicly on the photos or the text messages.
