The drugs found today at Jules Sedney harbor in Suriname were hidden in a batch of wood. This is evident from the images below, which are shared everywhere online. It concerns thick planks of wood that have been hollowed out and in which the drugs have been placed.
The load of wood, containing the cocaine, was in containers that were ready for shipment. It is not yet clear how many containers and drugs are involved; Starnieuws speaks of hundreds of kilos of cocaine.
In September this year, Customs found no less than 4,022 kilos of cocaine in the port of Rotterdam, hidden in a batch of wood. This party also came from Suriname.
