In the ultra-orthodox neighborhoods of Hadar, they finished burning the chametz, in special barrels that Haifa municipality workers scattered in the neighborhood tonight.
Dozens of empty barrels were scattered in the early morning (Monday) for burning chametz and starting in the early hours of the morning, the residents began to burn the chametz.
Omer Moser, armed with a camera, set out to document the ancient Jewish custom on Michael, Bezalel and Hermon streets, where he watched dozens of fathers and children, as they threw the chametz into the barrels.
Firemen from the Haifa station patrolled the streets, to ensure that the fire remained only in the area of the barrels and did not spread outside. In several centers, the intervention of the firefighters was indeed necessary.
A short time ago, the municipality collected the barrels using crane trucks.
