We can’t all enjoy seeing beautiful landscapes when we look out our windows, but in some cases, even a brick wall with a window can be worth paying attention to. Istanbul’s Alper Yesitas has been taking pictures of the window in front of his room for 12 years, and while it may sound a bit boring to capture, the photographer managed to create a dynamic set-up.

Bold reds, curtains dancing passionately in the wind, and moody shadows make each photo special in its own way. Yesitas is pleased that the uniqueness of the photos has helped them land on book covers and in exhibitions. The series ends dramatically, with a photo of that same wall being completely demolished.
