G. Kopštāls is a person of the founders of the Liepaja Property of Culture photographic team in 1958. Subsequently, the team shaped two independent studios: a photographic studio and a film studio.
G. Kopstāls was the head of a film studio for practically 10 decades, participated in movie screenings and festivals, was a board member of the Latvian Filmmakers Affiliation and an “honorary member”. Later he devoted himself to journalism on Latvian tv, in which for 12 years he established photographic and cinematographic stories for “Tv Panorāma” and other tv editorial places of work.
His photographic will work have also been released in newspapers and publications, as perfectly as photos ready for exhibition catalogs, marketing publications for the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra, choirs, institutions, guides, calendars and other publications.
