PhotoCube PD+: The Ultimate Data Storage Solution for Your Smartphone

The gadget allows you to store up to 2 TB of data from various devices.

If you lose your smartphone, you may also lose all the photos and other files stored on it. That’s why it’s important to back up, and the PhotoCube PD+ offers an easy way to do it. Device presented on Kickstarter.

You can back up your smartphone data to the cloud or to flash drives. However, cloud storage requires internet access and a monthly fee, and there is a constant risk of data leakage. Additionally, people who are not very tech savvy may not keep track of when the last backups were made.

Flash drives definitely offer a more practical alternative, but the storage capacity of the drive cannot be expanded.

This is where PhotoCube PD+ comes to the rescue. Created by Hong Kong-based electronics company PhotoFast, the compact device plugs directly into the USB-C port of an iPhone or Android phone. The companion app automatically launches to back up your phone’s contacts, calendar, photos, videos, documents, and music files.

PhotoCube stores all this data on a user-replaceable microSD card with up to 2TB capacity. You can back up multiple phones and/or tablets to a single card, with the contents of each device stored in a separate folder.

As an added bonus, the phone can be charged while it’s backing up. To do this, simply connect the PhotoCube to a power outlet and then connect your phone to the PhotoCube via the cord. If the correct adapter cord is used, this setting allows PhotoCube to back up on phones that don’t have a USB-C port.

The planned retail price of PhotoCube PD+ will be $99 (~9140 rubles).

Previously, the perfect scratching post appeared on Kickstarter. The device will allow cat lovers to keep their sofas and armchairs in their original condition.
