Kaspars’ colleagues and like-minded people took part in the concert, with whom his creative paths intersected during these years: Actor of the New Riga Theater Kaspars Znotinssingers Renārs Kaupers, Elza Rozentāle and Daumants Kalniņš, actress and director Rēzija Kalniņa, as well as Kaspars’ family – spouse Anda and sons Kārlis, Jēkabs Roberts and Mārtiņš Matīss.
“I feel very happy because what I had with me all the time – with the opening of the album I really see and feel like something important is being released into the world. I’m also glad that I finally met my friends and that the people who are important in my life, have been involved in the making of my album and were able to be on stage with me tonight.We were able to be together, feel and play music, joke and laugh, and that is extremely important to me.However, I had to enjoy the anniversary cake “During these times it is not possible to celebrate very widely, but in spite of everything, we enjoyed it all. In addition, those listeners who were not at the concert will be able to enjoy it with me on television for a while,” says Kaspars Zemītis, adding with a smile: ” We don’t know what will happen anymore, so I think we should enjoy such moments. “
The new album includes songs by Latvian poets Uldis Leinerts, Imants Ziedonis, Leons Briežs, Pēteris Brūvers, Juris Kunnos, Alfreds Kruklis and Uldis Bērziņš, as well as the well-known chaplain Rudīte Losāne. “And without the lyrics of the folk song and ‘Be next to me’ – songs whose lyrics came from conversations with Renārs Kaupers, my family and the members of the Labadaba camp. That’s how this album came about – a part of my life,” adds the musician.
