Legendary singer, musician and versatile artist Igo This Wednesday, June 29, will celebrate its 60th anniversary, which it has decided to celebrate with concerts and exhibitions throughout Latvia. The first concert will take place on the musician’s 60th birthday in his native Liepaja, in the renovated concert garden “Pūt, vējiņi!”.
To prepare for this event, the singer gathered at the Riga Film Studio together with her stage colleagues for a rehearsal last week, and these days Igo’s new single “Kelā” is released – a duo created together with the singer Andris Ērglis (it should be noted that he will be one of the concert guests). The music for the song was written by Jānis Strazds, a long-term colleague of both musicians, and the author of the lyrics is Igo himself. The songs tell the story of a time that rushes faster than us, about
the many choices of paths and directions in human life.
The next Igo anniversary concerts will take place:
- July 29 at 7 pm in Jelgava open-air concert hall “Mītava”
- July 30 at 7 pm at Saulkrasti stage
- August 10 at 8 pm in Dzintari Concert Hall

- September 23 at 7 pm in Rēzekne, Latgale Embassy GORS
- October 1 at 4 pm in Ventspils Theater House “Jūras vārti”
