This is the first concert of “The Cure’s” new tour “The Lost World Tour”, which takes place after the break caused by the pandemic. Further concerts are planned in Helsinki, Stockholm, Oslo and other European cities. The tour will conclude in December with three concerts at London’s Wembley Arena. The special guests of the concert were the Scottish post-punk group “The Twilight Sad”.
The Cure group was founded in 1976 in Crawley, West Sussex and is currently regarded as one of the most influential British groups having directly and indirectly influenced several generations of musicians to date.
The only permanent member of “The Cure” who has played music since the band’s formation is its leader, songwriter, guitarist and singer Robert Smith. He has written many of the greatest musical albums and songs of the 20th century, has become an authority on other musicians and listeners of cult personalities.
