Exactly on July 1, the beautiful princess, who was so loved all over the world, would have turned 60 years. However, as is already known, her life ended in 1997 in a tragic car accident in Paris.
The monument is located in the garden of Kensington Palace, Princess Diana’s favorite place. The event, although available to some photographers, took place in a private atmosphere.
It was visited by Princess Diana’s closest people – their two sons, Prince William and Harry, her older sisters – the Ladies. Sarah McCourtale a Cynthia Jane Felows, brother – count Charles Spencer, as well as the author of the monument Jans Renks-Brodlijs and garden designer Pipe Morrison.
The testimonials of the photographers’ lenses show that William and Harry’s father, Prince Charles the event was not attended as previously planned. The two brothers were also without their wives – Megana Markla stayed in America with both children – a newborn girl Lily and son Archia, bet Keita Midltone showed solidarity and was not seen with her husband, Prince William.
It was observed that the two brothers, William and Harry, despite the worries and the currently complicated relationship, when they came to the event, they chatted happily and were more smiling than very broken. “Today, when she is 60 years old, we remember her with the greatest love, we remember her strength and character traits, which did a lot of good all over the world, changed the lives of countless people for the better. Every day we want her to be with us again, and we hope that this monument will forever remain a symbol of her life and heritage, ”said the brothers, Prince William and Prince Harry. They also thanked the authors and sponsors of the monument.
Together, the brothers removed the green cover from the monument. The image of Lady Diana, played with the children, became visible. The British darling’s hand is placed on the shoulders of the boy and the girl. An official statement from Kensington Palace states that the purpose of the monument is to depict the warmth of Princess Diana’s heart and her elegance, according to the Daily Star.
This was the first meeting of the two brothers face to face since April this year, when they met their grandfather, Prince Philip at the funeral.
Prince William and Harry commissioned a memorial to their mother in August 2017. It was originally planned that it would be opened already in the summer of 2020, however, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the event was postponed to 2021.
