Magazine “What’s New?” writes that the editors have received a letter from a fan of the Daile Theater, in which the woman writes that she is concerned that the actor Artūrs Skrastiņš no longer seen in performances. What happened to the talented Latvian actor?
She writes that Skrastiņš is not seen in the performances either at all or he only gets supporting roles.
Creative director and director of Daile Theater Viesturs Kairiss the magazine refused to comment on this situation.
But cultural journalist and theater critic Henrietta Verhoustinska has mentioned that, in her opinion, Skrastiņš has not disappeared anywhere. She adds that currently the old shows are not included in the repertoire so often anymore, so the audience might think that Skrastiņš is not visible on the stage.
But actor’s wives, actresses Ilze Kuzules-Skrastiņas father Jānis Ķuzulis said that very soon his son-in-law will play the main role in the new play “Krita Aplis”.
