On the cover of the Nevermind album is a naked baby swimming in a pool – it has been found out that it is 30-year-old Spencer Elden, who was one or four months old at the time.
Nevermind is Nirvana’s second and most commercially successful album, released on September 24, 1991. Immediately after its release, the band gained the status of a world rock star.
Elden’s legal representatives claim that the photo on the album cover is classified as child pornography, so their client has sued members of the group for child sexual abuse. The young man also claims that his parents have not been asked for permission to use the photo, nor have they been paid for it. The photo was taken in a public pool.
Spencer has said that he suffers all his life because his nude photo has been visible to the whole world for 30 years. He has demanded $ 150,000 in “pain money” from each living member of the Nirvana group.
Let us remind you that Nirvana is a leader and a soloist Kurt Cobein committed suicide at the age of 27. On April 5, 1994, he was shot at his home in Seattle, USA. He was found a few days later with a gunshot wound to the head, although an official police report said the musician had committed suicide, and to this day fans and family members claim that Kurt was murdered.
Nirvana released his last album, In Utero, in 1993.
Neither the members of the Nirvana group nor their legal representatives have commented on the current situation and court proceedings with Spencer.
