Faces full of joy, emotions, applause and immense satisfaction with the almost full auditorium – this was the evening for Liepaja Symphony Orchestra and its main conductor Gintars Rinkevičs. The audience was delighted by the Lithuanian rock singer Jeronims Milius, who is already well known to the Latvian public, as well as the owners of powerful Latvian voices Atis Ieviņš and Andris Ērglis.
LSO representative Iveta Vēvere reports that the concert provided a vivid overview of rock and heavy metal music of the seventies, eighties and nineties. Listeners enjoyed compositions such as “Deep Purple” “Smoke on the Water”, Swedish rock band “Europe” song “The Final Countdown”, “Kansas” group “Dust in the Wind”, as well as immortal hits from Lenny Kravica, “Queen ”,“ Metallica ”, Ozie Osborne, Billy Aidol,“ System of a Down ”and other rock musicians.
With this event, the South Kurzeme festival “Rimbenieks” entered Liepāja and with several concerts both in the concert hall “Lielais dzintars” and in other concert venues will be performed until August 20.
