On Thursday, October 15, the seventh Riga International Film Festival (Riga IFF) was opened with the film concert “Where is the Truth ?!”

The ceremony was opened by a speech by the festival director Liene Treimane and creative director Sonora Broka, who emphasized the need to continue cultural processes, while observing safety measures and taking care of one’s health. Riga IFF was also introduced by the address of the Mayor of Riga Mārtiņš Staķis.

It has already been reported that this year, the festival will offer viewers 129 films in ten thematic sections, both in person and online, in response to the global health situation, as well as a series of events, exhibitions and discussions with professionals from various fields.

We remind you that Riga IFF takes place this year from October 15 to 25.
