Last month the Argentine press knew for sure: the Belgian Prince Gabriel is the ‘secret love’ of Princess Amalia. Now another boyfriend has emerged, with whom the crown princess was recently spotted in New York.
Gap year
This week Princess Amalia is back in The Hague to celebrate her birthday and to join the Council of State, but in recent months she has spent her gap year abroad by. Where exactly, the king and queen did not want to let go of anything. According to eyewitnesses, it could be New York City, the city where Máxima also lived and where love blossomed between the Oranges. And the princess would not be alone from the big apple to enjoy.

Romantic sunset
Dutch tourists in New York knew the crown princes last November 25, during Thanksgiving, to take a picture with a young man. Together they watched a beautiful, romantic sunset from the famous Brooklyn Bridge. The photos taken by bystanders will be published in weekly magazine this week Story. Is it really about the princess? There could of course be someone completely different behind the blond locks and the mask, and we always take the many rumors about Amalia’s love life with a grain of salt. But still, in this case it could very well be the Princess of Orange. According to Story at least the princess was not surprised that she caught the attention of the tourists around her. And then of course there is the question of whether the boy at Amalia’s side is really her boyfriend. According to eyewitnesses, they were in love, so emphasized Story. And watching the sunset together is just one of those beautiful gestures that Princess Amalia loves so much. She told Claudia de Breij for the book Amalia that she likes boys with gallant manners, and that German boys often master them better than the Dutch. For now, it remains a mystery guy and an unconfirmed relationship, but we hope for Amalia that after her first royal obligations she can quickly continue to enjoy her gap year today, with or without a dear friend.
