The show is an international project that reflects real English humor.
The play tells the story of a university drama and the premiere of their production “Murder at Haversham Manor”, during which everything goes wrong – the props do not stick to the walls, the actors forget the text, even the stage floor invades. In spite of force majeure conditions, the enthusiasts of the drama group are determined to play the show to the end.
The production of “Butter That Shows in Butter” is a replica of the original play “The Play That Goes Wrong” by the West End of London’s Mischief Theater.
This play by Henry Louis, Jonathan Seer and Henry Shield won the prestigious Lawrence Olivier Award for Best Comedy of the Year in 2015. “The Play That Goes Wrong” has been shown in more than 30 countries around the world, including on Broadway.
The roles in the production are played by Mārtiņš Upenieks or Lauris Subatnieks, Andris Bulis or Kārlis Arnolds Avots, Ieva Segliņa or Kristīne Nevarauska, Imants Strads or Artis Robežnieks, Toms Veličko or Kaspars Dumburs, Anete Krasovska or Ērika Eglija-Grāvele, Gints Andž Count.
