The Italian car brand Ferrari has introduced a four-seat convertible Roma Spider with an open top, informs Auto Express. The car has a fabric folding top.
The new Roma Spider has a modified version of the coupe’s aluminum chassis. This compensates for the nuances of the convertible roof structure by strengthening the sills and underbody.
To minimize the effect of wind on the driver and passengers, the car is equipped with an electronically controlled wind deflector in the rear seats, which can turn around at speeds up to 170 km / h.
A five-millimeter spoiler is installed at the front edge of the windshield slats to help increase airflow. Together with the deflector, it reduces turbulence by around 30% compared to other four-seater Ferrari convertibles.
The car is powered by a 3.9-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine with 611 horsepower. Roma Spider accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and to 200 km/h in 9.7 seconds.
Ferrari has yet to name a price for the new car. Due to the likely increase in cost compared to the coupe, it could start from 200,000 euros.
