As the Jauns.lv portal was informed by the creators of “Mans zelts ir mana tauta” “Producentu grupa 7”, this is the fourteenth year of the concert series cycle “with a declaration of respect for our country and playful lightness in music” . The concerts are a gift to Latvia on his birthday, and inspired by this year’s music producer – composer Jānis Lūsēns – a recording of the song “Kā maigi želosh rožu krūsms” was made in the studio, which the soloists send to all listeners as a festive greeting. The author of the lyrics of the song is the poet Normunds Belskis.
The singers Zigfrīds Muktupāvels, Dināra Rudāne, Anmary, Atis Ieviņš and a group of instrumentalists led by Jānis Lūsēns take part in the story of the concert “My gold is my nation”. On stage, melodies by J. Lūsen, Z. Liepiņa, R. Paula, I. Kalniņa, U. Markhilēviča, J. Kulakova, M. Braun, U. Stabulniek, H. Zariņa and other composers, recalling the times in which all together, united in song and faith, we fought for the rebirth of our country.
This year, as a particularly emotional message, the concert features not only excellent music, but also audio recordings of great Latvian poets in their voices with poems dedicated to our land and nation.
The “My gold is my nation” concerts will be held this week – 10.11 at the Đadaži Cultural Center, 11.11 at the Alūksne Cultural Center, 13.11 at the Jelgava House of Culture. Then at 15.11 in Riga, VEF Culture Palace, 16.11 at the Latgale GORS Embassy, 17.11 at the Krustpils House of Culture, 20.11 at the Rose Hall of OC Liepāja, on 25.11 at the Valmiera Cultural Center and on 26.11 at the Tukuma City House of Culture. A further concert of the day was also announced in Jelgava – 13:11 to 14:00.
