Sun, beach and cocktails: Marlène Schiappa clearly enjoyed her summer vacation with her new love. After a few days of rest in Aveyron with her partner Matthias, the former minister headed to Corsica, where her paternal grandparents are from. During her stay, the 41-year-old politician regularly shared photos of her stay on her Instagram account and, judging by her latest post, she still seems immersed in summer relaxation. After all, the August 15 bank holiday is just around the corner! Her followers were able to see her on the beach, in a straw hut, after a meal, tenderly hugging her partner. Both of them are smiling broadly, visibly peaceful and rested, proving that they have had, and continue to have, a wonderful summer.
On August 11, Marlène Schiappa had already published photos of herself alongside Matthias, clearly displaying her happiness and love. In one of the photos, she appeared in the turquoise water, wrapped in her partner’s arms, while the two shared a tender kiss under a bright sun. A few days earlier, we had also seen the couple all smiles, with tanned skin, posing in swimsuits. With wet hair and sunglasses on the tip of her nose, the former Minister Delegate for Citizenship seemed to be fully enjoying happy moments alongside her dear and tender.

Love at first sight in New York: Marlène and Matthias left everything behind to live their adventure
The two lovebirds met in New York in March 2023, while Marlène Schiappa was on an official visit to the UN. A few months ago, the couple spoke exclusively to Galareturning to their love at first sight which led them to divorce their respective spouses: “We didn’t want to lead a double life. After forty years, you know when it’s serious,” explained the former minister. “We also wanted to take responsibility for our relationship, for the sake of the people we lived with.” Both of them quickly decided to make their relationship public, for their peace of mind, but also to protect their families from the media: “Being a public figure is a game changer. I can be photographed everywhere. To protect our children, we had to speed things up and reveal everything quickly. It was bold. A lot of people said, ‘This won’t last more than two weeks!’” And here they are, a year and a half later, still as in love!
