LP arrived in Latvia to promote his latest album “Churches”, which came out at the end of last year. However, concert goers were also treated to previously released album hits, including “Lost on You”, released in 2016, which together with the album’s title track brought the musician to world fame.
Born into an Italian-American family in New York, LP discovered her musical talent as a child, at first she was shy about her voice, but that didn’t stop her from learning guitar, ukulele and harmonica.

The singer’s debut album “Heart-Shaped Scar” was released in 2001, but was not internationally successful. Similarly, the second album “Suburban Sprawl & Alcohol”, released in 2004, has not yet brought popularity and commercial success, although it has received positive, even laudatory reviews from critics.
The musician’s talent was spotted at the ambitious “South By Southwest” (SXSW) music conference, held annually in Austin, Texas. However, after several failures and disagreements with record companies, world fame has not yet arrived. True, LP had become a sought-after successful writer for pop stars. He has had a hand in the songs sung by Cher, Rihanna, Christina Aguilera, Heidi Montag, Backstreet Boys and others.

Although the singer was already noticed, well received and performed prolifically, her album “Lost on You” (2016) can be considered her big breakthrough, whose hit “Muddy Waters” was included in the soundtrack of the series. TV “Orange is the New Black”, but the album’s title track experienced a walk of fame to the top of the music charts of 17 different countries around the world.
In total, the singer has released six studio albums, of which the latest “Churches” was released in December 2021.
