The first concert of the “Latvian Film Song Festival” was performed in Baldone with sincere sincerity, singing and applause, followed by eight more concerts in Latvian cities.
“We can’t say which side had the biggest emotions, stage musicians or spectators, but… such a good aftertaste and sense of community often do not happen,” says the concert conference and singer Normunds Rutulis. The next meeting with the audience will take place on Saturday, July 30, in Dikļi, Neikenkalns Nature Concert Hall.
The concerts feature melodies from the popular movies “Limousine in the Color of Midsummer Night”, “Servants of Vella”, “My Friend is a Serious Man”, “Black Cancer Claws”, “A Gift for a Lonely Woman”, “They Are Crazy About Pauline”, “A Short Guide to Love” , “Mill of Fate”, “Emil’s Deeds”, “Breathe Deeply”, “Klāvs Mārtiņš Son”, “Theater”, “Soloist Needed”, “Fisherman’s Son”, “Maija and Paija”, “Sprīdītis”, “Game” and others .
Normunds Rutulis, Antra Stafecka, Anmary, Dainis Skutelis and the instrumental group – Juris Kristons, Aivars Gudrais, Modris Laizāns and Ivars Kalniņš sing the best selection of Latvian cinema songs at the Song Festival.

“Latvian Film Song Festival” will be shown on July 30 at Neikenkalns Nature Concert Hall in Dikļi, on August 6 at Rožupe stage in Līvāni, on August 7 at Sigulda castle ruins stage, on August 13 at Madona stage, on August 20 at Talsi castle mound, on August 21 at Alūksne castle stage stage, 27 August on the Ikšķile stage and August 28 on the Kuldīga stage.
Upon arrival at the concert, spectators must present a valid Covid-19 certificate, along with the entrance ticket and identity document, confirming the vaccination, the disease Covid-19 or the results of a negative test. Children under the age of 12 who have not been vaccinated, become ill and do not have to take the Covid-19 test can attend the concert with their parents.
Concert producer Aigars Dinsbergs believes that, despite the difficult situation, being together in songs is what is needed now or for every inhabitant of Latvia: “Songs have the power to overcome fear, heal the mind and warm the soul. Let’s be together again – in one language, in one rhythm, in one song. With joy and zeal, with nostalgia and memories, with pride and love for the power of the people that brings each of us and all together in the future. ”
