French jazz legend, saxophonist and composer Pierre Bertran, the local Latvian Radio Big Band and an international ensemble of artists who lived on the stage in the bohemian mood of Paris and drew the audience into the charm of French charm with the concert program “Bohemian and Jazz in Paris”.
The concert was opened by instrumental compositions from the newly recorded album “Paris 19-29”, but in the continuation of the evening the charming, young and bright French singer Paloma Pradal took the stage. (Paloma Pradal), whose creative work intertwined influences from chansons, flamenco and world music.
The virtuoso solo listeners were delighted by the temperamental Argentine drummer and percussionist Minino Garej (Minino Garay), the talented French accordionist Christoph Lampidecia (Christophe Lampidecchia), Latvian Radio Big Band leader, saxophonist Kārlis Vanags, flute and saxophone virtuoso, evening leader Pjērs Bertrāns (Pierre Bertrand) and a domestic percussion instrument guru Artis Orubs.
At the end of the program, the hall was taken over by heartfelt and stormy standing statues, which were followed by several musical additions from the charismatic and energetic ensemble of musicians. At the end of the evening, the listeners experienced hot-blooded French and Argentine artists dancing on the concert hall stage.
The author and initiator of the program idea, Pierre Bertran, is a composer, saxophonist, flutist and professor of composition, whose work includes countless new works and arrangements for various compositions, as well as music for films and performances. His album JOY won the highest jazz award in France Jazz victory in the category “Best record of the year”.
In the program “Bohemian and Jazz in Paris”, the listeners heard music composed by Bertran, inspired by the outstanding French 20th century. 20-30 artists of the year – Mark Chagall, Pablo Picasso, Juan Miro and others. Bertrāns has recorded the new album “Paris 19-29” together with the Latvian Radio big band and soloists Cristal Records – Sony Music studio in France, where very important and historical records have been made.
