The actor’s mother, Maruta Keisha, is 78 years old and lives in Jelgava, from where she came to the premiere: “I very rarely go to premieres, but my son has been talking about filming in this film for several years.”
“I always look at him on the screen as my own child, but I also try to understand what his image is, what he wants to say with it,” says the mother and adds that she really liked what she saw in this film.
“The film talks about a currently relevant topic – how a person searches for himself in this life. It’s often like in this movie when a person realizes that all the meridians you’re looking for are actually inside you. They need to be arranged. You can always leave, but something will have to be done elsewhere. What is important is the sense of life, understanding, not so much money.”
Keisha’s mother is a nurse by profession, but she has not put any obstacles on the way for her son to work as an actor – on the contrary – she has supported her son all his life. He could have become a surgeon, but he didn’t want to, because already in high school he was inclined towards theater.
Maruta Keisha currently lives a peaceful life, reports the magazine. She has settled in a small house of 90 square meters and is able to cover all her daily expenses herself, she has everything she needs.
The actor’s wife, Kristīne Zadovska, was also present at the premiere, who immediately noticed the scenes in which the husband was replaced by a double.
“I can say without fail at which moment Andra’s double appears in the film. I immediately understood that it was not Keish, because even his back can talk to me. While watching one of the final scenes in the film, I thought – Keish would have played it completely differently. The backup in the Arctic kicked the snow very delicately with his feet, but Keish would do it harder, deeper.”
