“Photo Exhibition: The Day Before the Universe – 44 Optical Phenomena” in Gallery “Roman Garden”

The photo exhibition “Day before the universe” by Gerard Ķeruž and his daughter Sofija Bella Ķeruž can be seen in the “Romas garden” gallery. 44 optical phenomena”. The exhibition features 44 photos taken over the past 15 years with historic mechanical film cameras manufactured up to the 1960s. For the decade when outer space was discovered.

The exhibition will feature street photography. Alongside the photos of Gérard Ķeruž, we will also see the works of his daughter and life-style successor, Sofija Bella Ķeruž, as the exhibition reflects the succession of photographic art. Photos were taken with equipment such as Rolleiflex, Rolleicord, post-war Nikon, Kowa, Start, Kiev, etc. produced in the 1930s.

Žerārs Ķeružis spends his day in Liepāja as a certified surgeon and ultrasonography specialist. On the other hand, Sofija Bella Ķeruže is currently studying medicine.
