Sofia / world today news/ From today, a photo exhibition dedicated to Bulgarian traditions is visiting Sofia Airport. The Crossroads project exhibition promotes the idea that when you know your past and your true nature you can understand the right direction for the future.
In the Arrivals and Departures areas of the new Terminal 2, panels are exhibited that combine elements of crafts and costumes from different parts of Bulgaria with contemporary avant-garde art. In a non-traditional way, the kuker rituals, lazaring, nesting, and martenitsa are shown. The color of different customs and national holidays remind us of who we are, where we come from and how the ethnic groups have preserved themselves over the centuries.
The capital airport was not chosen as the location of the exhibition by chance. In the context of globalization, it is a modern international ethnic crossroads. The exhibition will open at 18:00 in Terminal 2 and can be seen until March 14.
