According to the aforementioned Facebook page, Russian Ambassador Valery Kuzmin spoke of NATO’s “policy of aggressive eastward expansion”, but also of how the Russian state managed to “maintain its sovereignty and independence despite hostile attacks by colonialists and successfully repel various types of foreign invasions ”.

Kuzmin told his guests about the “military operation in Ukraine” and how Russia is “needed to resist not only the resurgent forces of Ukrainian neo-Nazism, but also the attempts of the United States and its NATO vassals”:

  • “And today, said the diplomat, these traditions have clearly manifested themselves during special military operations in Ukraine, where Russia is forced to resist not only the resurgent forces of Ukrainian neo-Nazism, but also attempts. of the United States and its NATO vassals to preserve their world hegemony by all meanswhich is irremediably a thing of the past, “says the embassy’s message on Facebook.

Context

Diana Şoșoacă was the author of several incidents of a pro-Russian nature, the most surprising being on March 31, a month after the Russian invasion of Ukraine. A delegation made up of parliamentarians Diana Iovanovici-Şoșoacă, Mihai Lasca, Francisc Tobă (all three former AUR) and Dumitru Coarnă (PSD) met on March 31, following a request made in this regard, with the Russian ambassador to Bucharest, Valeri Kuzmin, according to a press release from Sosoacă.

The four parliamentarians presented a proposal concerning a so-called “position of neutrality” of Romania in the war started by Russia following the invasion of Ukraine.

Diana Șoșoacă, Mihai Lasca and Francisc Tobă entered Parliament on the AUR lists, but are now active as independent. Sosoacă stood out for his violent actions against health personnel in a vaccination office, but also for his constant pro-Russian and anti-Western propaganda.
