“The world has changed again,” says composer Jānis Lūsēns. “The same new production, which we managed to play only a few shows two years ago, has now acquired a new, even more powerful meaning. Our world has suddenly become fragile as a result of the events in Ukraine, and only humanity can sustain it. The big question of choice and values has been raised. ”
Māra Zālīte, on the other hand, notes: “Our tolerance of crime – theft, robbery and lies is intolerable. This is the misfortune of our society. As long as the robbers and robbers of the state are considered to be the heroes, while they are elected mayors and deputies of the Saeima, meanwhile … Man, my dear! ”
Raimonds Celms, an actor of the Latvian National Theater, plays the role of Kaupena in the concert performance. Anmary, Zigurds Neimanis, Annija Putniņa, Inese Pabērza, Mārtiņš Kagainis, Elizabete Zagorska, Toms Kalderauskis, Edvards Grieze are also participating in the new study. Their choral and vocal parts, as well as their choreographic performance, create a particularly dynamic and youthful energy. An orchestra led by Jānis Lūsēns also participates in the performance.
Director of the concert performance Paula Plavniece, set designer Uģis Bērziņš, costume designer Elīna Milta Niedrāja, choreographer Egija Abaroviča, lighting artist Jānis Sniķers, vocal teacher Annija Putniņa. The concert performance was created by “Producer Group 7”.
The concert performance will be shown at the Latgale Embassy GORS (March 11) and at the VEF Culture Palace in Riga (March 13). Performances have also been announced in Valmiera (9.04.) And Ogre (6.05.).
