Monika Lakatoša, one of the most renowned Roma singers in the world, visited the concert series “World in Great Amber”, who together with the association “Gipsy Voices” revealed the most beautiful songs and melodies of their culture.

The energetic performance of the musicians featured the rhythmic melodies and songs characteristic of gypsy music, which were further adorned by the improvised dance movements of the artists both in the dances of the couples and in the solo movements of the male musicians. There were also soulful ballads and amazing improvisations that showed the versatile singing art of this culture in all its glory.

At one point during the concert, the artists invited the first brave listeners to dance to the stage, dancing to the music they played, offering to receive the association’s latest album “Hangszín” (“Tony”) as a gift.

After this invitation, a man and a woman from different parts of the hall met on the stage, who, accompanied by applause from other visitors, expressed themselves in dance movements.

During the performance, the musicians introduced the audience not only to Wallachian gypsy music, but also to culture. As Mikhail Rostash revealed to viewers (Michael Rostás), who played the guitar at the concert: That is the way we express our true feelings. Traditionally, there were no stringed instruments in Wallachian music, people used rhythmic percussion instruments from household items such as spoons, cans, wooden troughs, and also used table tops. ”

In the concert, it was possible to hear the calm caused by both wooden spoons and wooden surfaces, as well as an amazing performance on a tin can, which was masterfully presented to the audience by Mate Kovac (Máté A. Kovács).

At the end of the program, after stormy applause and applause from the audience, the musicians invited the audience to dance on stage.

More than 10 listeners danced on stage with the artists, while others in the hall stood up in the atmosphere with applause and small movements. Later, Monika Lakatoša herself went to the audience to agree on a dance with them.
