The romantic comedy series “Perfect Weddings” is offered by the local content creator Tet studio in cooperation with the film studio Cinevilla Films. Viewers will be able to see it on the entertainment platform Tet + and Helio on interactive television.
The series “Perfect Weddings” tells about a day in the life of a young couple, played by Lelde Dreimane and Kaspars Zāle. The bride’s trust is tested by the unexpected appearance of her ex-husband on the wedding day, played by the talented role master Mārtiņš Meiers. The protagonist portrayed by Meier is a seemingly innocent wedding operator, who has a duty to be present where others are forbidden and to record all the important events of the day, much of which is likely to be cut from the wedding film due to inappropriate behind-the-scenes content. The problem is that the bride’s feelings for the former lover have not yet fully resolved, creating intrigue throughout the series – will she pass this test and not allow herself to be accompanied by awakened feelings?
The parents of the young couple, whose lives are dominated by their passions, will be portrayed by an outstanding ensemble of actors such as Aija Dzērve, Ivars Puga, Anna Šteina and Ģirts Krūmiņš. Daiga Kažociņa has taken the role of a rich aunt.
“The filming of the series was one of the most dynamic experiences of my directing career, which would not have been possible without a production team and professional actors who are able to concentrate a large amount of work without losing quality. It was gratifying that all the actors involved, reading the script, saw the potential in the story of the series, each investing their own acting skills to make their character brighter, ”emphasizes director Andrejs Ēķis and reveals that the idea of the series was born many times. this day can unfold into a gorgeous and emotional gamut. “I saw that there is a good ‘dress’ for the series or film, and together with screenwriter Zani Zusta, we realized it.”
Apart from the romantic basic story, there will be other interesting surprises – the photographer will take on the role of a wedding photographer Jānis Deinats, reproducing himself, the musician and the leader of the group “The Sound Poets” will also play their part Jānis Aišpurs and hairdresser Kristaps Slakteris, but as the leader of the wedding ceremony – the singer Lauris Reiniks.

Anna Steina (Spodra) – actress, certified drama therapist, supervisor, theater and speech teacher. She has worked in several Latvian theaters, as well as filmed in films and TV series.
Ģirts Krūmiņš (Laimonis) – actor, played bright roles in the New Riga Theater. He won the “Players’ Night” actor’s award for the role of Kempa in the show “Vigilija. Dream of Awakening ”and Oblomov’s role in the show“ Oblomov ”. Also seen in several series, including “Agency”.
